Food Kit Project, Syria

Project information

The project goal is to supply internally displaced persons (IDPs) with food parcels. Since the beginning of the Syrian civil war, many food items have become very expensive.


Project objective is to provide food parcels to IDP families. Since the crisis the price of food has become about four times more expensive, for example 30 eggs have cost 100 SP, now 30 eggs cost between 750-800 SP. Refugee families are in urgent need of basic food.

Geography:   Al-Hassaka (North East Syria)

Service:    in cooperation with Syriac Cross Organization Syria

Costs per kit:    75 $ per family and month

Objective:      to assist 1200 families. Within 3 months, each month 400 food parcels will be   distributed. (Per food parcel 5 $ are included for packaging, storage, transport   and distribution).
